PRX Plus is most commonly used on the face. The neck, décolletage and backs of the hands can also be treated, and this is discussed at your consultation.

1. Consultation and skin assessment. Your appointment begins with a discussion of your skin concerns and what you are hoping to achieve. Your nurse assesses your skin and confirms whether PRX Plus is suitable for you.

2. Cleansing. The skin is thoroughly cleansed before treatment.

3. Application. PRX Plus is applied directly to the skin and massaged in. There are no needles and no injections at any point.

4. Aftercare advice. You are given specific advice on how to look after your skin in the days following treatment, including what to use and what to avoid.

5. Planning your next steps. A course of treatments is often recommended, and your nurse will advise on a plan suited to your skin.

A PRX Plus appointment takes approximately 30 minutes.

There is no downtime after PRX Plus. The skin is not broken during treatment, so you can return to work or continue your day straight from your appointment.

Some people notice mild tightness or a light flush shortly after treatment, which settles on its own. Some also experience light flaking in the days that follow as the skin renews. This is normal, it does not stop you going about your day, and your nurse will explain what to expect for your skin and how to look after it.

Most people have a course of 3-5 treatments, spaced 14 days apart. The number that suits you depends on your skin and what you are hoping to achieve, and this is agreed at your consultation rather than decided in advance.

Many clients then have maintenance treatments every 6 months to keep their results consistent.
