What Is Sunekos? A Registered Nurse Explains

Sunekos is a skin treatment that clients often ask us about. This article explains what it is, how it is given, the risks involved, and why every treatment at Contour Aesthetics starts with a consultation. It is general information only. What is Sunekos?

Sunekos is an injectable product that combines hyaluronic acid with a blend of amino acids. It is used in treatments that focus on skin quality, such as hydration and texture, rather than on changing facial shape or adding volume.

Which areas are commonly discussed?

In consultation, clients most often ask about skin on the face, under the eyes, the neck, the décolletage and the backs of the hands. Suitability for any area depends on your skin, your health history and your individual assessment.

What does treatment involve?

Sunekos is usually given as a course of sessions spaced a few weeks apart. If treatment is appropriate for you, Megan will explain the recommended number of sessions, how the product is administered, what aftercare is needed, and what costs are involved before anything goes ahead.

Everyone's skin responds differently, and no particular result can be promised.

Risks and side effects

Like any injectable procedure, Sunekos carries risks. These can include:

• Redness, swelling or tenderness where the product is injected

• Small raised bumps at injection points, usually short-lived

• Bruising

• Less commonly, infection or an allergic reaction

Some people should not have this treatment, for example during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or where there is an active skin infection in the area. Megan will review your medical history and go through the risks that apply to you during your consultation.

This is where we discuss your concerns, assess your skin, explain the available options (including options that do not involve injections), and talk through costs, risks and recovery.
